Sedat Erenoz scored 1-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Servet Aköz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Izmirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Egemen İdrisoğlu came free, but Servet Aköz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Yaşar Nuri Kerim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Servet Aköz. The goal made the score 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yaşar Nuri Kerim to strike the kick off in the second half.
