Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5433, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Derman Özdil started the match with the kick off. With 4 minutes on the clock, Bahadır Tezeren commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Sariz. Avni Demirci stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ünsal Gökekin. 1-0. With a little luck, BAYBURTSPOR's Ünsal Gökekin got control of the ball when Bican Erel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Ziya Hepyener who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sariz's Adnan Safi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ünsal Gökekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenol Safa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ziya Hepyener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adnan Safi having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Şenol Safa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BAYBURTSPOR's Ünsal Gökekin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Bican Erel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes BAYBURTSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Kaptan Kınay. Adnan Safi came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by BAYBURTSPOR's Ziya Hepyener. But to his dismay, Ziya Hepyener quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Ünsal Gökekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenol Safa, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Şenol Safa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Hafız Onur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sariz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BAYBURTSPOR the free kick. After 65 played minutes Sariz got a freekick which was hit by Hafız Onur. Adnan Safi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ziya Hepyener in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sariz's goalkeeper Adnan Safi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, BAYBURTSPOR's Ziya Hepyener sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adnan Safi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Bican Erel came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sariz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bican Erel couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the BAYBURTSPOR defense, Bican Erel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ünsal Gökekin. The BAYBURTSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ünsal Gökekin should have stopped the shot. If Ziya Hepyener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şenol Safa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Şenol Safa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sariz's supporters rose to their feet, but Şenol Safa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ünsal Gökekin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sariz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
