In the 9th minute Güneri Yaslı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Halis Kalgay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balamir Karadağ's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tansel Özmen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Paris Saint Turkey's Mehmet Halis Kalgay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cumhur Yeltekin in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cumhur Yeltekin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mehmet Halis Kalgay. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Mehmet Halis Kalgay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cumhur Yeltekin in the 29th minute of play. When Cumhur Yeltekin came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Elazigspor SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cumhur Yeltekin couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute of the match Numan Türegün shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tansel Özmen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 36th minute Cumhur Yeltekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Halis Kalgay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ahmet Ceyhan Üçok fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paris Saint Turkey's protests and gave Ahmet Ceyhan Üçok a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Paris Saint Turkey's Ahmet Ceyhan Üçok got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Cumhur Yeltekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Balamir Karadağ was the one to do the kick off. Elazigspor SK's Çakır Nedim got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 played minutes Elazigspor SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Kutsi Akarslan. Sertel Polatkan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Sancarbey Koray blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tansel Özmen having to make a save. Güneri Yaslı's late challenge caught a Paris Saint Turkey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Güneri Yaslı helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Elazigspor SK got a freekick which was hit by Güneri Yaslı. In the 69th minute Balamir Karadağ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tansel Özmen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Balamir Karadağ in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tansel Özmen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Elazigspor SK defense, Doruk Durali kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tansel Özmen. The Elazigspor SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tansel Özmen should have stopped the shot. Balamir Karadağ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paris Saint Turkey's Balamir Karadağ got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 92 in the game by Balamir Karadağ from a close distance when the talented Tansel Özmen managed to make a qualified save. Elazigspor SK's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güneri Yaslı in the 96th minute of play forced Paris Saint Turkey's goalkeeper Mehmet Halis Kalgay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
