In the 5th minute of the match Servet Öktuğ shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ünsal İpekçi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kıvanç Kayı kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vecdi Ballı. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, KARAGÜMRÜK SK's goal looked a bit too open when Aydemir Toköz came free, but Ünsal İpekçi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to KARAGÜMRÜK SK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Tansu Tokcan hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes KARAGÜMRÜK SK got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Yaruk. After 23 minutes of play, Malkara SK's Ömer Polathan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ünsal İpekçi was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Aydemir Toköz fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malkara SK's protests and gave Aydemir Toköz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Malkara SK getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Aydemir Toköz hit a great ball. Vecdi Ballı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Türker Turhan in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Türker Turhan got free with Vecdi Ballı in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute of the match Servet Öktuğ shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ünsal İpekçi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Malkara SK's Aydemir Toköz in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KARAGÜMRÜK SK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute, Tansu Tokcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ömer Polathan might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ünsal İpekçi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ömer Polathan ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aydemir Toköz in the 47th minute of play forced KARAGÜMRÜK SK's goalkeeper Ünsal İpekçi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Vecdi Ballı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yusuf Yaruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Tuğrul Hekimoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Yusuf Yaruk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vecdi Ballı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Yaruk in the 65th minute of play forced Malkara SK's goalkeeper Vecdi Ballı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Türker Turhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vecdi Ballı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Türker Turhan ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aydemir Toköz in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ünsal İpekçi saved KARAGÜMRÜK SK from getting behind. Kıvanç Kayı took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vecdi Ballı. Vecdi Ballı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fuat Babürşah kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Vecdi Ballı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yusuf Yaruk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vecdi Ballı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Türker Turhan in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Aydemir Toköz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ömer Polathan got free with Ünsal İpekçi in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Türker Turhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
