An unexpectedly hard shot by Avni Baldemir in the 7th minute of play forced Gömer SK's goalkeeper Necdet Balatürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Abay Seferoğlulları had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abay Seferoğlulları sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Necdet Balatürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avni Baldemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Necdet Balatürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yunus Deren in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abay Seferoğlulları in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Haydar İrfan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Songurbey Cezri fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gömer SK's protests and gave Songurbey Cezri a yellow card for diving instead. Songurbey Cezri hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Ahmet Orhan Akansel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necdet Balatürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Songurbey Cezri struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ali Haydar İrfan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gömer SK. Abay Seferoğlulları received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ali Haydar İrfan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abay Seferoğlulları was the one to do the kick off. If Abay Seferoğlulları had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute, Songurbey Cezri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gömer SK's Necdet Balatürk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Gömer SK from getting a goal against them. Gömer SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Yunus Deren scored to the left of an out of position Necdet Balatürk, making the score, 0-1. In the 66th minute, Avni Baldemir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Necdet Balatürk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Gömer SK's Abay Seferoğlulları in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match was over galatasarays could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gömer SK throughout the match.
