Oğuz Kaynak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İdris Kutberk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes, Fenerbahçe FK's Semail Atasoy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramazan İçten came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fenerbahçe FK reached it. If Esat Aksakal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fenerbahçe FK booed when mezefc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Kemal Semir didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Esat Aksakal made a precise shot to the right of Ramazan İçten. mezefc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meriç Kutlutekin during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Meriç Kutlutekin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Oğuz Kaynak was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kemal Adıvar. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe FK's zone, İdris Kutberk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oğuz Kaynak came out of the goal and İdris Kutberk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esat Aksakal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ramazan İçten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when İdris Kutberk made the kick off in the second half. 68 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe FK's goal looked a bit too open when Saffet Esraf came free, but Oğuz Kaynak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fenerbahçe FK's Meriç Kutlutekin pulled a muscle in his back after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rüştü Ezgü charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esat Aksakal couldn't finish the play. İdris Kutberk hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Sezer Özbilge shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramazan İçten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, İdris Kutberk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. mezefc's supporters crossed their fingers, but İdris Kutberk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Rüştü Ezgü ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oğuz Kaynak was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. İdris Kutberk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When İdris Kutberk came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the mezefc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İdris Kutberk couldn't finish the play. Oğuz Kaynak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rüştü Ezgü in the 90th minute of the match. If Esat Aksakal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
