Arif Bilge Pekel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bursaspor's Çağan Baler managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Çetin Baray in the 11 minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Çağan Baler notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bağcılar Spor's Kamil Onursan. Kamil Onursan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute Saffet Tümay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamil Onursan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Çağan Baler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamil Onursan was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. If Mehmet Emre Okyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bursaspor's Mehmet Emre Okyar in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ahmet Erşahan made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Mahsun Raid sent off a good shot on target. Saffet Tümay struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Kamil Onursan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bursaspor.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baturalp Ataergin made a kick off. Baturalp Ataergin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Erşahan having to interfere. If Mehmet Emre Okyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mehmet Emre Okyar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Kamil Onursan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Saffet Tümay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Saffet Tümay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamil Onursan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
