Afşin Beycan had several of the Demirspor's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Ali Boratay as he didn't even see the shot coming. Işıkalp Alpsoy hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Songurbey Şerefhan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Afşin Beycan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Boratay was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Afşin Beycan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ali Boratay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulu Olgunsoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Naci Azimoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Afşin Beycan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Naci Azimoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Boratay was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After having played for 59 minutes, Ahmet Gökalp Yücelay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kastamonu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Gökalp Yücelay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ali Boratay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naci Azimoğlu in the 91st minute of the match. Yılmaz Akgün got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Yılmaz Akgün kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
