Sefa Rıza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aybek Ahıska blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sefa Rıza having to make a save. Aybek Ahıska struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Sefa Rıza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S&S. 13 minutes into the game, S&S's Güvenç Derman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sefa Rıza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. S&S's Aybek Ahıska was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Cat booed when S&S was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güvenç Derman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Çelik Kutay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S&S's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çelik Kutay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, S&S's Kağan İdilkurt got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Yüksel Okan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and S&S's Verner Rubeš didn't even have to move. If Lütfü İlgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sefa Rıza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aybek Ahıska, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Aybek Ahıska managed to get in a good position for a shot. S&S's supporters rose to their feet, but Aybek Ahıska was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sefa Rıza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of S&S booed when Cat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akın Murathan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Aybek Ahıska had to leave the field with a concussion. 42 minutes into the game, Ali Baran Tozan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S&S the free kick. S&S made a substitution. Nurettin Ongar replaced Aybek Ahıska. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cat! When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, S&S's Sinan Nurdag got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sefa Rıza.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lütfü İlgi to make the kick off. Sefa Rıza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güvenç Derman in the 51st minute of play. Nurettin Ongar got in the 53rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Sefa Rıza handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Çelik Kutay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nurettin Ongar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sefa Rıza having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Cat's goal looked a bit too open when Nurettin Ongar came free, but Sefa Rıza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The S&S fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 72 minutes into the game, Nurettin Ongar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Sefa Rıza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nurettin Ongar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Güvenç Derman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sefa Rıza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nurettin Ongar might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sefa Rıza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nurettin Ongar ran back to his position shaking his head. Sefa Rıza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nurettin Ongar in the 82nd minute of the match. Nurettin Ongar scored 11-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sefa Rıza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Çelik Kutay struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Sefa Rıza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S&S. Çelik Kutay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Nurettin Ongar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sefa Rıza was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. S&S's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
