The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Van's Murat Sezgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Baran Tongal in the 5th minute of play. Seher Yıldızı's Cenan Uruz got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12thth minute of the game Yaşar Köker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seher Yıldızı's Halil Can Özdil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Müfit Şahinalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Halil Can Özdil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cenan Uruz charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cenan Uruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Yaşar Köker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Halil Can Özdil was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Battal Cüneyt İlyas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Müfit Şahinalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halil Can Özdil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Ali Baran Tongal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Baran Tongal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murat Sezgi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cenan Uruz got free with Murat Sezgi in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Murat Sezgi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Baran Tongal, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Murat Sezgi came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Seher Yıldızı's Cenan Uruz. But to his dismay, Cenan Uruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Baran Tongal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Ali Baran Tongal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Van's Murat Sezgi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ali Baran Tongal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Van's Yaşar Köker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Halil Can Özdil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Seher Yıldızı's goalkeeper Halil Can Özdil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Müfit Şahinalp. Halil Can Özdil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaşar Köker in the 71st minute of play. Ali Baran Tongal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cenan Uruz struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Murat Sezgi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seher Yıldızı. Murat Sezgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Baran Tongal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murat Sezgi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cenan Uruz in the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Seher Yıldızı's Cenan Uruz got a free kick in the 87th minute. Halil Can Özdil was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Yaşar Köker capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yaşar Köker really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Cenan Uruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
