The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute of the match, Ümit Koçarslan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Güney İmar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 12th minute, one of Boztepe FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Boztepe FK. Zafer Patlar walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 15 played minutes Boztepe FK got a freekick which was hit by Nafiz Rasif. In the 17th minute Ruden Cook were awarded a corner. Zafer Patlar went to the cornerflag to take it. Zafer Patlar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mustafa Haydar Maruf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Göktürk Türker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Haydar Maruf having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Zafer Patlar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mustafa Haydar Maruf was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mustafa Haydar Maruf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göktürk Türker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Haydar Maruf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zafer Patlar in the 44th minute of play. When Ruden Cook's İshak Özbas in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boztepe FK's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Ümit Koçarslan made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when İshak Özbas got free with Mustafa Haydar Maruf in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 52 minutes, Zafer Patlar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruden Cook's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zafer Patlar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Atilla Tarkan Secaat came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ruden Cook fans jumped to their feet. In the 61st minute, Göktürk Türker fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mustafa Haydar Maruf, passed just outside the right post. Abdurrahman Tümerkan hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Zafer Patlar had several of the Boztepe FK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Mustafa Haydar Maruf as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 69th minute, İshak Özbas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Ruden Cook's İshak Özbas in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boztepe FK's goalie prevented a goal. Güney İmar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nafiz Rasif went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Göktürk Türker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 77 minutes, Atilla Tarkan Secaat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruden Cook's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilla Tarkan Secaat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, İshak Özbas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruden Cook's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boztepe FK the free kick. After 80 played minutes Ruden Cook got a freekick which was hit by İshak Özbas. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, İshak Özbas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruden Cook's supporters rose to their feet, but İshak Özbas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Haydar Maruf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Boztepe FK's Abdurrahman Tümerkan got a free kick in the 84th minute. İshak Özbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Haydar Maruf having to interfere. Boztepe FK's Mustafa Haydar Maruf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilla Tarkan Secaat in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, İshak Özbas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mustafa Haydar Maruf saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mustafa Haydar Maruf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zafer Patlar in the 94th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilla Tarkan Secaat got free with Mustafa Haydar Maruf in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Boztepe FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ruden Cook were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
