In the 8th minute Alper Varan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avni Öksüzoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alper Varan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avni Öksüzoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Erberk Gündoğan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BESIKTAŞ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erberk Gündoğan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ertuğrul Kaveloğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabri Camcı having to interfere. Avni Öksüzoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erberk Gündoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. kaya Canver's late challenge caught a Akcasugücü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After a rather tough play, BESIKTAŞ's Vehdi Arıcan got a free kick in the 35th minute. Sabri Camcı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tunç Polatalp in the 36th minute of play. Ertuğrul Kaveloğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BESIKTAŞ's Sabri Camcı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tunç Polatalp in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alper Varan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Avni Öksüzoğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! BESIKTAŞ's Alper Varan got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
