The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alifonso Daire helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, NEWROZ's Alifonso Daire got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Mertak FK's Ahmet Bedri Temcit got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Özal Öveç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Orun, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Alifonso Daire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 minutes, Ahmet Bülent Lebib mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mertak FK and the NEWROZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tahsin Ekşioğlu took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oğuzhan Acem. Oğuzhan Acem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hakkı Orun in the 16th minute of play forced NEWROZ's goalkeeper Özal Öveç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NEWROZ's Özal Öveç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save NEWROZ from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mehmet Hakkı Orun sped through NEWROZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Özal Öveç. Mertak FK's attentive Ahmet Bülent Lebib managed to snatch the ball when Alfonzo Keys made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. The supporters of Mertak FK booed when NEWROZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Gündüz Tezer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 played minutes Mertak FK got a freekick which was hit by Naim Sağlamer. Mertak FK's attentive Naim Sağlamer managed to snatch the ball when Alfonzo Keys made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Derviş Öksüzoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Oğuzhan Parshan's late challenge caught a Mertak FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oğuzhan Parshan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, NEWROZ's Oğuzhan Parshan got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mehmet Hakkı Orun made a kick off. Mehmet Hakkı Orun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Özal Öveç having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Mehmet Hakkı Orun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Özal Öveç was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, Mertak FK's goalkeeper Oğuzhan Acem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alifonso Daire. A collision led to NEWROZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tansel Eryetiş hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Mertak FK's Ahmet Bedri Temcit broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mehmet Hakkı Orun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Özal Öveç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, NEWROZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tansel Eryetiş to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Hakkı Orun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özal Öveç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Orun in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hakkı Orun in the 81st minute of play forced NEWROZ's goalkeeper Özal Öveç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the NEWROZ defense, Mehmet Hakkı Orun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özal Öveç. The NEWROZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özal Öveç should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Hakkı Orun in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Özal Öveç prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
