The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baran Seri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arcan Timurkan in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Ekrem Bican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Acem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Alex De Souza FC's goalkeeper Baran Seri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdulhamit Taşkınay. Oğuzhan Acem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Haydar Uram, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Alex De Souza FC booed when Mertak FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derviş Öksüzoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Alex De Souza FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ali Haydar Uram hit a great ball. The supporters of Alex De Souza FC booed when Mertak FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulhamit Taşkınay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Ali Haydar Uram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oğuzhan Acem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Alex De Souza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Hakkı Orun came free, but Baran Seri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Mertak FK's Abdulhamit Taşkınay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Karadeniz Turbay got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ekrem Bican. Oğuzhan Acem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ekrem Bican, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Hakkı Orun in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baran Seri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mehmet Hakkı Orun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baran Seri having to interfere. If Ahmet Bedri Temcit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ekrem Bican made a kick off. Karadeniz Turbay made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mertak FK's Derviş Öksüzoğlu. 58 minutes into the match, Mertak FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ekrem Bican came free, but Oğuzhan Acem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Mertak FK's Oğuzhan Acem got control of the ball when Tayfun Oran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 played minutes Alex De Souza FC got a freekick which was hit by Ali Haydar Uram. 65 minutes into the game, Okanalp Oskan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mertak FK's Arcan Timurkan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mehmet Hakkı Orun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Baran Seri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Alex De Souza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Lebib came free, but Baran Seri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Hakkı Orun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Ahmet Bülent Lebib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baran Seri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Mehmet Hakkı Orun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mertak FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 82ndth minute of the game Mehmet Hakkı Orun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alex De Souza FC's Baran Seri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alex De Souza FC's zone, Abdulhamit Taşkınay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baran Seri came out of the goal and Abdulhamit Taşkınay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Fikret Cenker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mertak FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alex De Souza FC the free kick. If Tayfun Oran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mertak FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
