All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 58th of the match, Ziya Pekdemir tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Güral Omay got in the way and made a wonderful save. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Çağatay Tuğkan hit a great ball. If Yağızalp Şinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. Ziya Onur Baysungur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
