Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. With an all-out effort, Karpuzlu's Vacid Özaltuğ threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bahtiyar Yalaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 5 minutes into the match, Ayvalik FK's Rıfkı Polat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baturay Özluer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karpuzlu's Şenol Talayman got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şenol Talayman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Vacid Özaltuğ when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Bahtiyar Yalaz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vacid Özaltuğ. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. If Rıfkı Polat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Ayvalik FK's goalkeeper Vacid Özaltuğ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erol Can. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, Erbatur Kutan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vacid Özaltuğ, 2-1. After 32 played minutes Erbatur Kutan rounded Ayvalik FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. In the 35th minute, Yüce Safer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayvalik FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 37th minute, Balaban Şahiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ayvalik FK booed when Karpuzlu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bahtiyar Yalaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baturay Özluer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emin Özkaya in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Erbatur Kutan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vacid Özaltuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Baturay Özluer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rıfkı Polat, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rıfkı Polat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Baturay Özluer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rıfkı Polat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a left leg Vacid Özaltuğ saved Ayvalik FK from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Karpuzlu's zone, Rıfkı Polat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baturay Özluer came out of the goal and Rıfkı Polat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ayvalik FK's Sait Şensoy got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, Rıfkı Polat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Zaid Ünsever in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ayvalik FK's Taha Türköz. Taha Türköz charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taha Türköz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ayvalik FK getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Taha Türköz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Karpuzlu had won after a very even match.
