Okan Ergüçs short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Semi Zaik to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ahmet Seyfi Mithat hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Saadettin Baştugay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serhat Başel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serhat Başel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute of the match Yücel Semdin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saadettin Baştugay skillfully saved the ball. With an all-out effort, Artvin FC's Semi Zaik threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Okan Ergüç, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Okan Ergüç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes in the game, Ahmet Boran Turay fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Semi Zaik having to interfere. Okan Ergüç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semi Zaik having to interfere. Özal Usum hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match İdris Bürge shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saadettin Baştugay showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Dogansehir's Oğuzalp Kadrettin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saadettin Baştugay was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute Serhat Başel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saadettin Baştugay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artvin FC's Saadettin Baştugay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özal Usum in the 42nd minute of play. If Oğuzalp Kadrettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serhat Başel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saadettin Baştugay having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Okan Ergüç was the one to do the kick off. Semi Zaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okan Ergüç in the 54th minute of play. Okan Ergüç might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Semi Zaik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Okan Ergüç ran back to his position shaking his head. After 58 played minutes Dogansehir got a freekick which was hit by Sakut Balyemez. Okan Ergüç took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Semi Zaik. Semi Zaik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 63 minutes of play, Artvin FC's Okan Ergüç made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Semi Zaik was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 minutes, Okan Ergüç made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dogansehir's Semi Zaik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Serhat Başel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Dogansehir got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Seyfi Mithat. In the 79th minute, Okan Ergüç ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Semi Zaik was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Sertaç Taştan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Semi Zaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Okan Ergüç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Artvin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Okan Ergüç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Semi Zaik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Dogansehir's zone, Okan Ergüç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Semi Zaik came out of the goal and Okan Ergüç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Semi Zaik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Ergüç, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The audience was convinced that Okan Ergüç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Semi Zaik was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Dogansehir's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
