After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Selahaddin Subahi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cihangir JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Selahaddin Subahi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Poyraz Oksay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Salihli booed when Cihangir JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahman Birdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hıncal İrfanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vecdet Duman in the 20th minute of the match. Enver Vahap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poyraz Oksay having to interfere. Bektaş Ali Öktüre might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hıncal İrfanoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bektaş Ali Öktüre ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Müslüm İkram's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Poyraz Oksay was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Salihli's Poyraz Oksay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enver Vahap in the 27th minute of play. Selahaddin Subahi's late challenge caught a Salihli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bozkurt Tanören charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bozkurt Tanören the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Cihangir JK's zone, Vecdet Duman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hıncal İrfanoğlu came out of the goal and Vecdet Duman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Bektaş Ali Öktüre put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hıncal İrfanoğlu. After 90 played minutes Salihli got a freekick which was hit by Bektaş Ali Öktüre. Müslüm İkram got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Müslüm İkram kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. If Bektaş Ali Öktüre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cihangir JK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Salihli.
