After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alaaddin Kutsalmis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bozkir's supporters rose to their feet, but Alaaddin Kutsalmis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halit Fahri Rahmi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Fikret Ahsen got free with Halit Fahri Rahmi in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 played minutes Kütahya got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Orhan Numan. A collision led to Kütahya getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Necati Koç hit a great ball. Nazmi Sönmez might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Okanalp Eronat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nazmi Sönmez ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 42 minutes, Serhat Eğriöz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bozkir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serhat Eğriöz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Okanalp Eronat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazmi Sönmez, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serhat Eğriöz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Şamil Uğursay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alaaddin Kutsalmis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Fahri Rahmi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kütahya's Ali Emir Suyurgal got a free kick in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bozkir's zone, Nazmi Sönmez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okanalp Eronat came out of the goal and Nazmi Sönmez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halit Fahri Rahmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serhat Eğriöz in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serhat Eğriöz in the 67th minute of play forced Kütahya's goalkeeper Halit Fahri Rahmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Necati Koç fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Şamil Uğursay fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bozkir's protests and gave Şamil Uğursay a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Bozkir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şamil Uğursay to maneuver through the defense. Behlül Eryilmaz's late challenge caught a Bozkir's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Behlül Eryilmaz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bozkir booed when Kütahya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position.
