Arif Gaffar Hitit hit a great ball. Erhun Şendoğan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Behlül Eryilmaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Nazmi Sönmez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kütahya's supporters rose to their feet, but Nazmi Sönmez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erhun Şendoğan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Halit Fahri Rahmi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baha Sungurbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Baha Sungurbay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kütahya's Halit Fahri Rahmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Halit Fahri Rahmi managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Göztepe's Baha Sungurbay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 38 played minutes Kütahya got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Orhan Numan. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fikri Doğu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Göztepe's supporters rose to their feet, but Fikri Doğu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halit Fahri Rahmi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arif Ensar İzgü hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Behlül Eryilmaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kütahya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Behlül Eryilmaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-3 became the score in the 46th minute when Behlül Eryilmaz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fikri Doğu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Kütahya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dilaver Teren to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nazmi Sönmez got free with Erhun Şendoğan in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kutay Tüney charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kutay Tüney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Kütahya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Orhan Numan to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match, Behlül Eryilmaz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erhun Şendoğan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nazmi Sönmez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fikri Doğu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Fahri Rahmi having to interfere. If Nazmi Sönmez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Fikri Doğu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halit Fahri Rahmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erhun Şendoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Behlül Eryilmaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Nazmi Sönmez in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Göztepe's Erhun Şendoğan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Göztepe from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Göztepe's Erhun Şendoğan got control of the ball when Nazmi Sönmez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erhun Şendoğan was a little too slow when Behlül Eryilmaz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 90th match minute, Göztepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şemsettin Çokay to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Kütahya's Behlül Eryilmaz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erhun Şendoğan. That made the score 0-6 after 95 minutes of play. When the match was over Kütahya could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Göztepe throughout the match.
