Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fikri Doğu kicked off to start the match. Şemsettin Çokay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Süruri Sıraç having to make a save. After 7 minutes, Reşat Birsan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savsat JK and the Göztepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Göztepe booed when Savsat JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reşat Birsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arif Gaffar Hitit kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Fikri Doğu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Göztepe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fikri Doğu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Şensoy Bakırcı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fikri Doğu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 minutes, Fikri Doğu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Savsat JK's Süruri Sıraç tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 1-1 became the score in the 24th minute when Hakkı Onur Tugal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 28th minute Fikri Doğu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Süruri Sıraç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Savsat JK got a freekick which was hit by Şensoy Bakırcı. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hakkı Onur Tugal to make the kick off. When Fikri Doğu came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Göztepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fikri Doğu couldn't finish the play. Baha Sungurbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Süruri Sıraç having to interfere. Hakkı Onur Tugal scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erhun Şendoğan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 72 played minutes Göztepe got a freekick which was hit by Arif Gaffar Hitit. Savsat JK's Orhan Veli Okkan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Göztepe. Kutlu Doğanten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Erhun Şendoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Göztepe's goalkeeper Erhun Şendoğan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Göztepe's Fikri Doğu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Hakkı Onur Tugal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Erhun Şendoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Süruri Sıraç made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baha Sungurbay in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Savsat JK's Süruri Sıraç got control of the ball when Baha Sungurbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hakkı Onur Tugal in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erhun Şendoğan saved Göztepe from getting behind. Savsat JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
