An unexpectedly hard shot by Erberk Çubukcu in the 3rd minute of play forced Karkamis's goalkeeper Özgür Vecid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. hatay FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Yetkin Sahat scored to the left of an out of position Talat Akbaba, making the score, 1-0. Tahir Türünk hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Hazım İmroz hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Mazhar Tandoğdu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özgür Vecid having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Mazhar Tandoğdu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karkamis's Özgür Vecid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hazım İmroz charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hazım İmroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hazım İmroz kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Yetkin Sahat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Talat Akbaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, hatay FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necip Fazıl Mengüalp to maneuver through the defense. Talat Akbaba was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Şensoy Akağan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Şensoy Akağan really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 28 minutes into the match, hatay FK's goalkeeper Talat Akbaba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yetkin Sahat. Yetkin Sahat scored 4-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Talat Akbaba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Talat Akbaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şensoy Akağan in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, one of hatay FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Karkamis's Bayezit Adalıoğlu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Talat Akbaba. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Yetkin Sahat took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Talat Akbaba. Talat Akbaba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Şensoy Akağan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karkamis's supporters rose to their feet, but Şensoy Akağan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Talat Akbaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. hatay FK's Sait Pekol got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Karkamis booed when hatay FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tahir Türünk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şensoy Akağan in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Talat Akbaba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, hatay FK's Özal Afşaroğlu got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karkamis's goalkeeper Özgür Vecid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karkamis's Yetkin Sahat got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 minutes, Necip Fazıl Mengüalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the hatay FK and the Karkamis players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Karkamis had played much better football throughout.
