ŞeReFeSpor's Ahmet Seyfi Uzbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kálmán Tamás in the 16th minute of play. The referee ignored Ankaragücü's protests and gave Kálmán Tamás a yellow card for diving instead. Cemil Deveci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serkan Tümen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Poyraz Albayrak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anıl Baran Uğurcan in the 39th minute of play forced ŞeReFeSpor's goalkeeper Ahmet Seyfi Uzbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kálmán Tamás to make the kick off. Ankaragücü's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 85th minute Serkan Tümen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemil Deveci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, one of ŞeReFeSpor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ŞeReFeSpor. Vehdi Yener shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 96th minute, Ertunç Şentürk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Seyfi Uzbay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kálmán Tamás's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ŞeReFeSpor were victorious despite being under pressure from Ankaragücü for much of the match.
