Samsunspor's Cebrail Erşahin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Samsunspor from getting a goal against them. Korkutalp Oktan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Çavdır SK's Korkutalp Oktan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer in the 20th minute of play. Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korkutalp Oktan having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Balfour Gronberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cebrail Erşahin to make any attempt to save it. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Samsunspor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Latif Yağızalp was slow to take the kick. During this time Çavdır SK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Chiquinho Faria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Samsunspor's Cebrail Erşahin did a great save. Korkutalp Oktan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer in the 31st minute of the match. Cebrail Erşahin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Lilian Garry threw the ball into play from the sideline. Çavdır SK's Vaden Gonzalvez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 37 minutes into the game, Vaden Gonzalvez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cebrail Erşahin. Vaden Gonzalvez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 42 minutes into the game, Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Korkutalp Oktan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Çavdır SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Samsunspor were winning 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Korkutalp Oktan made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Enis Nurbay sent off a good shot on target. Hakkı Deniz Vedat hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer in the 55th minute of play forced Çavdır SK's goalkeeper Korkutalp Oktan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th match minute, Çavdır SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaden Gonzalvez to maneuver through the defense. Samsunspor's Gazanfer Pekgöz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cahit Şahit, made in the 57th minute of the game. In the 61st match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 唐海杰 to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Gazanfer Pekgöz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Korkutalp Oktan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 68 minutes into the match, Çavdır SK's goal looked a bit too open when Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer came free, but Korkutalp Oktan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Korkutalp Oktan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer in the 71st minute of the match. 唐海杰 hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Korkutalp Oktan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Balfour Gronberg took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cebrail Erşahin. Cebrail Erşahin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. After 86 minutes of play, Samsunspor's Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Korkutalp Oktan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Korkutalp Oktan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Çavdır SK got a freekick which was hit by Vaden Gonzalvez. In the 95th minute, Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Samsunspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Samsunspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
