Güney Gökçek kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Merzifon getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Haşmet Açıkgöz hit a great ball. Doğaner Şirvan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Baybars Urangu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merzifon's Baybars Urangu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orçun Pekol in the 26th minute of play. The Merzifon fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Merzifon's Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Baybars Urangu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doğaner Şirvan went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th match minute, Güzelyali SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkin Çağman to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Güzelyali SK's Doğaner Şirvan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baybars Urangu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Pekol in the 42nd minute of play forced Merzifon's goalkeeper Baybars Urangu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 53 minutes, Orçun Pekol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güzelyali SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orçun Pekol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doğaner Şirvan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baybars Urangu came out and tried to block the shot, but Doğaner Şirvan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 65th minute. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Merzifon! The goalkeeper, Baybars Urangu, was totally fooled by Güzelyali SK's İlhan Hikmettin, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience was convinced that Orçun Pekol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baybars Urangu was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Doğaner Şirvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orçun Pekol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baybars Urangu having to interfere. Çakır Bengisoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Merzifon's Baybars Urangu got control of the ball when Doğaner Şirvan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Güzelyali SK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
