Pertevniyal's Zafer Tavil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Post in the 38th minute of play. Gabriel Post took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zafer Tavil. Zafer Tavil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Post to make the kick off. After 58 minutes, Dinçer Şiraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pertevniyal and the Şimşek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Dinçer Şiraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute of the match Benê Vidal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bartlomiej Borowski skillfully saved the ball. Bartlomiej Borowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benê Vidal in the 73rd minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Pertevniyal got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Şefik Safer. In the 82nd minute, Dinçer Şiraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nazım Zorlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zafer Tavil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nazım Zorlu ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Şimşek's zone, Benê Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartlomiej Borowski came out of the goal and Benê Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Şimşek's goal looked a bit too open when Enrico Iacovone came free, but Bartlomiej Borowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Şimşek got a freekick which was hit by İlhami Haspolatlı. Şimşek were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Pertevniyal to leave the ground with a draw.
