Spectators: 7449 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan made the kick off which started today's match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Çakır Bengisoy got free with Zafer Tavil in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zafer Tavil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan in the 15th minute of the match. If Jörn Offendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Merzifon defense, Enrico Iacovone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baybars Urangu. The Merzifon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baybars Urangu should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Iacovone in the 39th minute of play forced Merzifon's goalkeeper Baybars Urangu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Pertevniyal's Jörn Offendahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baybars Urangu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Enrico Iacovone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Enrico Iacovone made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merzifon's supporters rose to their feet, but Melih Cevdet Tuğaltan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zafer Tavil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute Çakır Bengisoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zafer Tavil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulu Secaat kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Ömer Onuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baybars Urangu came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Pertevniyal's Enrico Iacovone. But to his dismay, Enrico Iacovone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Ömer Onuk kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Albano Depsch's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Baybars Urangu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Baybars Urangu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrico Iacovone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrico Iacovone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Çakır Bengisoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörn Offendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Karhan Şanalp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zafer Tavil. Pertevniyal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Baybars Urangu made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Albano Depsch sent off a good shot on target. Pertevniyal played a much better game than Merzifon and deserved their victory. The Merzifon players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
