Durusu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Seyfi Yanal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hakkı Bakkalbaşıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Seyfi Yanal in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Baran Bilge Ezgü ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakkı Bakkalbaşıoğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, İsmail Cem Vedatoğulları was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gülsuyu SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durusu the free kick. In the 11th minute, İsmail Cem Vedatoğulları hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gülsuyu SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Seyfi Yanal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hakkı Bakkalbaşıoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Seyfi Yanal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Durusu were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Gülsuyu SK's Arif Cengiz Ceberut got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute of the match, Baran Bilge Ezgü got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hakkı Bakkalbaşıoğlu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ahmet Seyfi Yanal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Hakkı Bakkalbaşıoğlu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Durusu played a much better game than Gülsuyu SK and deserved their victory. The Gülsuyu SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
