Şenel Başöz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gencay Yamaç having to interfere. Ahmet Necdet Erçin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hayri Cenker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Oktay Gerdaneri came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Nakkastepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oktay Gerdaneri couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Necdet Erçin took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hayri Cenker. Hayri Cenker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Yayladere's zone, Şenel Başöz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gencay Yamaç came out of the goal and Şenel Başöz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hayri Cenker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Necdet Erçin in the 35th minute. Yayladere's Abuzer Sungun suffered a sore thigh after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 38 minutes, Hamit Tecimen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nakkastepe and the Yayladere players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nakkastepe getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Hamit Tecimen hit a great ball. Ahmet Necdet Erçin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Hayri Cenker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Fatih Pirane in the 46th minute of play forced Nakkastepe's goalkeeper Hayri Cenker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arda Göksel Buminhan fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yayladere's protests and gave Arda Göksel Buminhan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yayladere getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arda Göksel Buminhan hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Necdet Erçin to make the kick off. In the 60th match minute, Nakkastepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şevket Başkur to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Ahmet Necdet Erçin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hayri Cenker was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Şenel Başöz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şenel Başöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nakkastepe's Hayri Cenker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Necdet Erçin in the 72nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Necdet Erçin in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hayri Cenker saved Nakkastepe from getting behind. In the 76th minute Şenel Başöz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencay Yamaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oktay Gerdaneri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gencay Yamaç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şenel Başöz, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Ahmet Necdet Erçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
