The referee showed Şenel Başöz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nakkastepe getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Şenel Başöz hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Bora Han Camcı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, EMEĞİN GÜCÜ's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamit Tecimen. In the 20th minute, Servet Baybars made a precise shot to the right of Hayri Cenker. Nakkastepe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Servet Baybars made a precise shot to the right of Hayri Cenker. Hayri Cenker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Servet Baybars in the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Oktay Gerdaneri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Oliver Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half EMEĞİN GÜCÜ were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Servet Baybars got free with Hayri Cenker in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hayri Cenker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Servet Baybars in the 58th minute. Oliver Kahn came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Nakkastepe's Oktay Gerdaneri. But to his dismay, Oktay Gerdaneri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. After 69 minutes, Servet Baybars mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EMEĞİN GÜCÜ and the Nakkastepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, EMEĞİN GÜCÜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Servet Baybars to maneuver through the defense. Oktay Gerdaneri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Utku Ucatekin fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EMEĞİN GÜCÜ's protests and gave Utku Ucatekin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to EMEĞİN GÜCÜ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Utku Ucatekin hit a great ball. Lemi Doğan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Hayri Cenker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bora Han Camcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hayri Cenker came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by EMEĞİN GÜCÜ's Servet Baybars. But to his dismay, Servet Baybars quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. In the 85th minute, EMEĞİN GÜCÜ's Bora Han Camcı dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-7. 88 minutes into the match, Servet Baybars had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hayri Cenker. Nakkastepe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Servet Baybars was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-8. After 93 played minutes Nakkastepe got a freekick which was hit by Oktay Gerdaneri. Servet Baybars could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Hayri Cenker made a huge save. The Nakkastepe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. EMEĞİN GÜCÜ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
