The referee ordered Hayrullah Ciner off the ground. In the 22nd match minute, Karlıova Futbol Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayrullah Ciner to maneuver through the defense. Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuddusî İdilkurt in the 28th minute of the match. Zekai Sayar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Karlıova Futbol Kulübü's goal looked a bit too open when Aykutalp Serkan came free, but Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürcan Akata in the 38th minute of play. Armağan Tuğsavaş struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murakat club. After the first half Karlıova Futbol Kulübü were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience was convinced that Aykutalp Serkan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reşat Abdulhakimoğlu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game.
