Gerze FK's Kunter Müfit got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hıdır Boysan came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Hozat FK's Güray Karahan. But to his dismay, Güray Karahan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Şenol Vefik's late challenge caught a Gerze FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şenol Vefik helped the player get up and apologised. Şenol Vefik kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Celil Akcebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute of the match Akif Yetişbey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hıdır Boysan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celil Akcebe in the 35th minute of play forced Hozat FK's goalkeeper Yakut Onatkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yakut Onatkan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Teoman Yücel hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Güray Karahan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hıdır Boysan having to interfere. Celil Akcebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakut Onatkan having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa Anıl Çinucen was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Gerze FK's Celil Akcebe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yakut Onatkan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güray Karahan got free with Hıdır Boysan in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Celil Akcebe came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Gerze FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celil Akcebe couldn't finish the play. After 61 played minutes Hozat FK got a freekick which was hit by Sungurhan Hasanbeyli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kunter Müfit in the 63rd minute of play forced Hozat FK's goalkeeper Yakut Onatkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celil Akcebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakut Onatkan having to interfere. Hozat FK's Güray Karahan got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Güray Karahan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Celil Akcebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakut Onatkan having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Celil Akcebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakut Onatkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kunter Müfit came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Gerze FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kunter Müfit couldn't finish the play. Kunter Müfit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Yakut Onatkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hozat FK's Şenol Vefik got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Şenol Vefik off the ground. Şenol Vefik kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Hozat FK's Yakut Onatkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kunter Müfit in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gerze FK had won after a very even match.
