The audience thought a goal was coming when Kutay Oğuztan got free with Robin Asplund in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Necatibey booed when Antalya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdulmelik Bozbora didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kutay Oğuztan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aktuğ Tanpınar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Birol Orgunalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kutay Oğuztan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nazil Baltaş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Kutay Oğuztan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robin Asplund made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Kutay Oğuztan sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gafur Karakaya to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Necatibey got a freekick which was hit by Semavi Sönmez. When Marcinho Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Antalya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Trancoso couldn't finish the play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robin Asplund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kutay Oğuztan in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Mustafa Birol Orgunalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antalya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustafa Birol Orgunalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mustafa Birol Orgunalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aktuğ Tanpınar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mustafa Birol Orgunalp ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Ant Tuğra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
