Zbigniew Soroka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çetin Duran having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Önder Çoğun put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Azmi Kuthan. Çetin Duran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Franco in the 32nd minute of play. Önder Çoğun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 36 in the game by Mieszko Bartochowski from a close distance when the talented Çetin Duran managed to make a qualified save. Kurucesme SK's players were relieved. Zbigniew Soroka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Çetin Duran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hayati Yüce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azmi Kuthan having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Zekai Temizöz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azmi Kuthan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azmi Kuthan came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Kurucesme SK's Önder Çoğun. But to his dismay, Önder Çoğun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zbigniew Soroka to make the kick off. Icardiiiiii's Mieszko Bartochowski got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Mieszko Bartochowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Çetin Duran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Mieszko Bartochowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Zbigniew Soroka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çetin Duran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Icardiiiiii's goalkeeper Azmi Kuthan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Önder Çoğun. 70 minutes into the match, Basilio Franco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Çetin Duran. Kurucesme SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basilio Franco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Mieszko Bartochowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çetin Duran having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zbigniew Soroka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Çetin Duran was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Çetin Duran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Soroka in the 80th minute of the match. Çetin Duran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Soroka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azmi Kuthan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayati Yüce, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Çetin Duran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbigniew Soroka's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Kurucesme SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
