Arif Oğuz Demirtuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özcan Olgunsoy in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şansal Bayraktar during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pehlivanköy's Şansal Bayraktar got a free kick in the 40th minute. Müjdat Birtan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Haldun Aksoy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arif Oğuz Demirtuğ came out and tried to block the shot, but Haldun Aksoy slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Özcan Olgunsoy got free in front of the goal in the 73rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Arif Oğuz Demirtuğ was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Haldun Aksoy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arif Oğuz Demirtuğ was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 77 minutes into the game, Mürsel Özek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Alkolikler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pehlivanköy the free kick. With 80 minutes on the clock, Göktürk Baysan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 85th minute Mürsel Özek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Oğuz Demirtuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
