After having played for 18 minutes, Sem Paciência managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sem Paciência was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Muhammet Cihansah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Uğurcan Cakir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SELEUCİA PİERİA's Songurhan Tayfur got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Sem Paciência came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the BEŞİKTAŞ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sem Paciência couldn't finish the play. BEŞİKTAŞ's Toby Haley got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Sem Paciência got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgün Umurbey in the 48th minute of play forced BEŞİKTAŞ's goalkeeper Uğurcan Cakir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Güvenç Boz made a kick off. The supporters of SELEUCİA PİERİA booed when BEŞİKTAŞ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ertunç Üke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toby Haley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind BEŞİKTAŞ's goalkeeper Uğurcan Cakir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Sem Paciência got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BEŞİKTAŞ's Toby Haley got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yenal Tura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sem Paciência, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Sem Paciência fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yenal Tura having to interfere. The BEŞİKTAŞ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BEŞİKTAŞ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
