Gürol Böke struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Songurbey Özekan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ortaköy. The audience was convinced that Gürol Böke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Songurbey Özekan was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Songurbey Özekan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gürol Böke's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Gürol Böke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Songurbey Özekan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's İldeniz Özbekkan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Reha Orkan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Gürol Böke came free, but Songurbey Özekan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Songurbey Özekan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceyhun Birsoy in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ceyhun Birsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ortaköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceyhun Birsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Songurbey Özekan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ortaköy's Ahmet Reha Orkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İldeniz Özbekkan in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Ortaköy getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Bican Özbilek hit a great ball. İldeniz Özbekkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Ortaköy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Ahmet Ali Sezer made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Reha Orkan. Ortaköy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. GALATASARAY's Songurbey Özekan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceyhun Birsoy in the 56th minute of play. GALATASARAY's Songurbey Özekan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY from getting a goal against them. İldeniz Özbekkan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ahmet Reha Orkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY. Ahmet Reha Orkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emran Çokman in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, one of GALATASARAY:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cevahir Eldem shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 93 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Ceyhun Birsoy came free, but Songurbey Özekan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, GALATASARAY's Songurbey Özekan got control of the ball when Gürol Böke tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ortaköy booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Hafiz İmge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Songurbey Özekan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cevahir Eldem in the 97th minute of play. Songurbey Özekan was a little too slow when Ceyhun Birsoy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 99th minute. The score was now 1-3.
