The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Oğuz Baydan in the 4th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Mahir Cesur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Süreyya Öztanır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahir Cesur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mahir Cesur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süreyya Öztanır, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Ahmet Oğuz Baydan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nevsehir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Oğuz Baydan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Süreyya Öztanır fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahir Cesur having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Pekin Akdoğan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiğitcan Mutlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Pekin Akdoğan could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Yiğitcan Mutlu however easily saved by the left post. Kasım İmam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Nevsehir's Ahmet Oğuz Baydan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mahir Cesur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nizam Demircan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahir Cesur having to interfere. Ali Faruk Suay hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Ahmet Oğuz Baydan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahir Cesur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ahmet Oğuz Baydan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahir Cesur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süreyya Öztanır in the 41st minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Süreyya Öztanır made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nevsehir booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binali Tuğrul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Oğuz Baydan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Mahir Cesur got control of the ball when Ahmet Oğuz Baydan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Nizam Demircan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nevsehir's supporters rose to their feet, but Nizam Demircan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mahir Cesur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Oğuz Baydan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahir Cesur having to interfere. Ercan Rauf kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Mahir Cesur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süreyya Öztanır in the 71st minute of play. Ahmet Oğuz Baydan took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mahir Cesur. Mahir Cesur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 78 minutes into the game, Kasım İmam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mahir Cesur. Kasım İmam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Mahir Cesur made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ahmet Oğuz Baydan sent off a good shot on target. Süreyya Öztanır might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mahir Cesur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Süreyya Öztanır ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmet Oğuz Baydan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Mahir Cesur made a huge save. The Nevsehir fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Nevsehir's Süreyya Öztanır looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Süreyya Öztanır didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-4 via right post in the game's 93rd minute. Nevsehir's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Lütfi Sehrud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mahir Cesur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Galatasaray SK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nevsehir were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
