The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of 1967 Trabzonspor booed when GenPo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nihat Baransel didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, 1967 Trabzonspor's Erdem Kayrar got control of the ball when Ulaş Sekib tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of GenPo booed when 1967 Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamdi Tanzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bumin Reca hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, GenPo's goal looked a bit too open when İsmet Tatar came free, but Armağan Sefaaddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as GenPo's Ramiz Kuddusi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erdem Kayrar. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulaş Sekib got free with Erdem Kayrar in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erdem Kayrar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiz Kuddusi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Müslüm Parshan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1967 Trabzonspor's Erdem Kayrar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save 1967 Trabzonspor from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Nihat Baransel could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Erdem Kayrar however easily saved by the left post. Ulaş Sekib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Ramiz Kuddusi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdem Kayrar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamdi Tanzer was the one to do the kick off. Bumin Reca might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erdem Kayrar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bumin Reca ran back to his position shaking his head. Bumin Reca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erdem Kayrar having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Yiğitcan Yağmurdereli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GenPo and the 1967 Trabzonspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in GenPo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Nihat Baransel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erdem Kayrar having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Bumin Reca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Erdem Kayrar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Erdem Kayrar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiz Kuddusi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes of play, GenPo's Ulaş Sekib made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erdem Kayrar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute, Ramiz Kuddusi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erdem Kayrar was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. If Ramiz Kuddusi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Ulaş Sekib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdem Kayrar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match Baykal Beksan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erdem Kayrar skillfully saved the ball. Erdem Kayrar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiz Kuddusi in the 97th minute of play. Erdem Kayrar came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by GenPo's Ulaş Sekib. But to his dismay, Ulaş Sekib quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GenPo fully deserved thier win.
