The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Geçkinli's protests and gave Kuddusî Saatçioğlu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Geçkinli getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Geçkinli's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Mahsun İstanbul scored to the left of an out of position Sinan Ağaoğlu, making the score, 3-0. Sinan Ağaoğlu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hayri Sözen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 20 minute of play. Battal Cüneyt Şiraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sinan Ağaoğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mehmet Ediz Tanbek to strike the kick off in the second half. Geçkinli's Sinan Ağaoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahsun İstanbul in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Ömer Batu's goalkeeper Şerafettin İdrisoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karahan Temizkanoğlu. Sinan Ağaoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mahsun İstanbul went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Geçkinli defense, Battal Cüneyt Şiraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sinan Ağaoğlu. After 75 minutes of play, Ömer Batu's Battal Cüneyt Şiraz made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sinan Ağaoğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 80 minutes into the match, Battal Cüneyt Şiraz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sinan Ağaoğlu. Geçkinli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Battal Cüneyt Şiraz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahsun İstanbul in the 83rd minute of play forced Geçkinli's goalkeeper Sinan Ağaoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Batu Cem Ateş charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Batu Cem Ateş the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Geçkinli's Batu Cem Ateş got a free kick in the 84th minute. Geçkinli's Sinan Ağaoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Battal Cüneyt Şiraz in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Geçkinli's Karahan Temizkanoğlu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 14-1. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
