The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Şanver Toper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enginsu Başkaya. Team Name's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Şanver Toper was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şanver Toper in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enginsu Başkaya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şanver Toper in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enginsu Başkaya saved Team Name from getting behind. A collision led to Team Name getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gani Hanönü hit a great ball. In the 16th match minute, Team Name was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haşmet Birsel to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Numan Olcaytug got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, FENERBAHÇE SPOR's Ferman Vafi got control of the ball when Gani Hanönü tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilla Bumin Özbilek in the 23rd minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE SPOR's goalkeeper Ferman Vafi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FENERBAHÇE SPOR's Ferman Vafi got control of the ball when Melih Kambay tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute Atilla Bumin Özbilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Vafi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Şanver Toper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Team Name's Enginsu Başkaya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Melih Kambay dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ferman Vafi, 1-1. In the 38th minute Atilla Bumin Özbilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Vafi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haşmet Birsel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Team Name's Haşmet Birsel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferman Vafi. That made the score 2-1 after 41 minutes of play. Ferman Vafi was a little too slow when Atilla Bumin Özbilek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilla Bumin Özbilek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferman Vafi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilla Bumin Özbilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilla Bumin Özbilek in the 55th minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE SPOR's goalkeeper Ferman Vafi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Gani Hanönü notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of FENERBAHÇE SPOR's Ferman Vafi. Ferman Vafi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ferman Vafi came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Team Name's Haşmet Birsel. But to his dismay, Haşmet Birsel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 70 minutes into the match, Atilla Bumin Özbilek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferman Vafi. FENERBAHÇE SPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilla Bumin Özbilek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. 78 minutes into the game, Atilla Bumin Özbilek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Ferman Vafi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute, Atilla Bumin Özbilek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Team Name fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. FENERBAHÇE SPOR's Ferman Vafi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melih Kambay in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the FENERBAHÇE SPOR defense, Gani Hanönü kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferman Vafi. The FENERBAHÇE SPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferman Vafi should have stopped the shot. FENERBAHÇE SPOR's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
