The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Koray Tibet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Azim Özerman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Karagümrük FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Mansur Başel scored to the left of an out of position Azim Özerman, making the score, 1-0. Gökmen Çoğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şimşek Pala, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Ant Nevzat succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 8th playminute. Karagümrük FK's Azim Özerman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Karagümrük FK from getting a goal against them. Azim Özerman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ant Nevzat went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Azim Özerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koray Tibet, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Azim Özerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mansur Başel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karagümrük FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when İsmail Cem Eroğlu scored to the left of an out of position Azim Özerman, making the score, 4-0. In the 27th minute, İsmail Cem Eroğlu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Azim Özerman. The goal made the score 6-0. In the 33rd minute of the match, Ant Nevzat got a very nice opportunity to score, but Azim Özerman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Azim Özerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Kemal Oncu in the 36th minute of the match. Azim Özerman was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and İsmail Cem Eroğlu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. İsmail Cem Eroğlu really showed his touch with that goal: 8-0. Karagümrük FK's Azim Özerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mansur Başel in the 42nd minute of play. Ant Nevzat came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Azim Özerman could save by the left post. Azim Özerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsmail Cem Eroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the game, İsmail Cem Eroğlu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Azim Özerman. İsmail Cem Eroğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 9-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koray Tibet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Azim Özerman came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Çanakkale's İsmail Cem Eroğlu. But to his dismay, İsmail Cem Eroğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Azim Özerman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from İsmail Cem Eroğlu went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. When Şimşek Pala came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Karagümrük FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şimşek Pala couldn't finish the play. Ant Nevzat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azim Özerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Cem Eroğlu in the 70th minute of play. Ahmet Kutsi Tezeren kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koray Tibet in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Azim Özerman saved Karagümrük FK from getting behind. Azim Özerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Eroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Halil Baytekin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Azim Özerman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th match minute, Çanakkale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mansur Başel to maneuver through the defense. If Ahmet Kutsi Tezeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Çanakkale's Ant Nevzat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Azim Özerman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Azim Özerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Haydar Uçkun, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Koray Tibet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Azim Özerman. Karagümrük FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Koray Tibet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 14-0. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 16-0 when Mansur Başel sped through Karagümrük FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Azim Özerman. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Çanakkale had played much better football throughout.
