After 5 minutes of play, Topkapi SK's Sarp Hadim made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ali Numan Tayman was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 9 minutes, Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. TRABZONSPOR's Ali Numan Tayman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, TRABZONSPOR's Evren Başdaş got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Topkapi SK's Sarp Hadim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Numan Tayman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in TRABZONSPOR's zone, Sarp Hadim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Numan Tayman came out of the goal and Sarp Hadim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Numan Tayman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç in the 23rd minute of play forced TRABZONSPOR's goalkeeper Ali Numan Tayman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Numan Tayman came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Topkapi SK's Sarp Hadim. But to his dismay, Sarp Hadim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Numan Tayman was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Ilgaz Harmanda took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Ercan Zühtü to make any attempt to save it. Ali Numan Tayman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barışcan Durusan to maneuver through the defense. When Ilgaz Harmanda came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the TRABZONSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilgaz Harmanda couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Topkapi SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Ahmet Seyfi Yanaç cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Ali Numan Tayman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 63 minutes, Arda Ozan Güngör managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Topkapi SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arda Ozan Güngör was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Topkapi SK booed when TRABZONSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evren Başdaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Topkapi SK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
