Abdulbaki Koca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Turan Elçi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Bahtiyar Taymaz made a huge save. In the 11th minute of the match Akköy got a corner. erzurumspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abdulbaki Koca ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hıncal Özay didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Akköy's Ayberk Pehlivan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Abdulbaki Koca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hıncal Özay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Ziya Derdiyok scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bahtiyar Taymaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Ziya Derdiyok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahtiyar Taymaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Akköy's Mustafa Hünkar got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Saadettin Akabe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. erzurumspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akköy the free kick. Saadettin Akabe kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, erzurumspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Anıl Zaid to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes Akköy got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Hünkar. Zikri Yerel kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of erzurumspor booed when Akköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Hünkar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes, erzurumspor's Müfit Behzat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bahtiyar Taymaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in erzurumspor reached it. If Bayındır Mehmet Erdem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Akköy's goalkeeper Bahtiyar Taymaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Turan Elçi. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Caleb Higson made the kick off in the second half. Akköy's Bayındır Mehmet Erdem got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in erzurumspor's zone, Caleb Higson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hıncal Özay came out of the goal and Caleb Higson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zikri Yerel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hıncal Özay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Akköy's Abdulbaki Koca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hıncal Özay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Bahtiyar Taymaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Anıl Zaid, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Mustafa Hünkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Hıncal Özay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Akköy got a freekick which was hit by Zikri Yerel. Akköy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
