Ahmet Kutsi Tezeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hıncal Özay having to interfere. Kuzey Turalp spun around in front of the goal 13 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of erzurumspor's goal. Gencer Nabi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kuzey Turalp got free with Hıncal Özay in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Kuzey Turalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Mehmet Anıl Zaid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. erzurumspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karagümrük FK the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Karagümrük FK's İlyas Tolga Mengü slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hıncal Özay. That made the score 1-1 after 25 minutes of play. Azim Özerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turan Elçi in the 29th minute of the match. When erzurumspor's Ziya Derdiyok in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karagümrük FK's goalie prevented a goal. Şimşek Pala in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hıncal Özay, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Azim Özerman came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by erzurumspor's Mehmet Anıl Zaid. But to his dismay, Mehmet Anıl Zaid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Anıl Zaid in the 38th minute of play forced Karagümrük FK's goalkeeper Azim Özerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ziya Derdiyok in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Azim Özerman saved Karagümrük FK from getting behind. Azim Özerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gencer Nabi in the 43rd minute of the match. Azim Özerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziya Derdiyok, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karagümrük FK's Azim Özerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziya Derdiyok in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ziya Derdiyok to strike the kick off in the second half. Azim Özerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziya Derdiyok in the 52nd minute of play. Kuzey Turalp scored 2-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hıncal Özay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Azim Özerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Anıl Zaid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Gencer Nabi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Azim Özerman. The goal made the score 2-3. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Ziya Derdiyok took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Azim Özerman to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Karagümrük FK booed when erzurumspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Anıl Zaid didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Karagümrük FK's goalkeeper Azim Özerman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ziya Derdiyok. Ziya Derdiyok struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Azim Özerman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for erzurumspor. Hazım Sabri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Azim Özerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halim Biçim in the 83rd minute of the match. If Kuzey Turalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karagümrük FK's Azim Özerman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Karagümrük FK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Anıl Zaid in the 89th minute of play forced Karagümrük FK's goalkeeper Azim Özerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Önder Ülgen hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Karagümrük FK's Azim Özerman got control of the ball when Turan Elçi tried to sneak it across the goal line. erzurumspor's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
