Gerigeldim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atasehir the free kick. Ünal Hatmi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Talip Vefa. Gerigeldim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ulaş Teksen was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Atasehir booed when Gerigeldim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulaş Teksen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mahsun Renan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkan Özgun in the 54th minute of play forced Gerigeldim's goalkeeper Talip Vefa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mahsun Renan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talip Vefa having to interfere. Talip Vefa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 67 minutes into the match, Gerigeldim's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Çelebi Dindar came free, but Talip Vefa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bayezit Sanbay came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Atasehir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bayezit Sanbay couldn't finish the play.
