The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kunter Lebib during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Kunter Lebib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Longo in the 7th minute of play forced TrabzonSpor's goalkeeper Acun Nuh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acun Nuh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hami Sina in the 8th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sammy Longo sped through TrabzonSpor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Acun Nuh. Sammy Longo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Acun Nuh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ANADOLU ERCİYES FC. When Nizam Barkan fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TrabzonSpor's protests and gave Nizam Barkan a yellow card for diving instead. Nizam Barkan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Sammy Longo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TrabzonSpor's Acun Nuh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 21 minutes, Sammy Longo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. TrabzonSpor's Acun Nuh tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Sungurhan Başbuğ fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TrabzonSpor's protests and gave Sungurhan Başbuğ a yellow card for diving instead. Sungurhan Başbuğ kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Duran Sanak fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TrabzonSpor's protests and gave Duran Sanak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Duran Sanak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41stth minute of the game Sammy Longo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TrabzonSpor's Acun Nuh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. TrabzonSpor's Acun Nuh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Longo in the 44th minute of play. Sungurhan Başbuğ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nizam Barkan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Bünyamin Canfer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 47th minute, Sammy Longo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Acun Nuh was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sammy Longo made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Mao Yan Sheng in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by TrabzonSpor's Çakır Şeref. In the 55th minute, Sammy Longo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ANADOLU ERCİYES FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Sammy Longo in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Acun Nuh, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. ANADOLU ERCİYES FC's Cenan Fırat pulled a muscle in his leg after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. TrabzonSpor's Sungurhan Başbuğ got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Sungurhan Başbuğ off the ground. ANADOLU ERCİYES FC's Okanay Soyuer was substituted for Cenan Fırat. Acun Nuh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sammy Longo in the 64th minute. Nizam Barkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A collision led to ANADOLU ERCİYES FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hüsamettin Uygun hit a great ball. Bünyamin Canfer came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by TrabzonSpor's Nizam Barkan. But to his dismay, Nizam Barkan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Acun Nuh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Efe Şabi in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammy Longo in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Acun Nuh saved TrabzonSpor from getting behind. After 84 minutes, Hami Sina made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. TrabzonSpor's Acun Nuh tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Sammy Longo put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Acun Nuh. In the 91st minute, Başaran İplikçi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, TrabzonSpor's Acun Nuh got control of the ball when Sammy Longo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
