But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Forte couldn't finish the play. Metehan Öktem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faik Bilgen in the 17th minute of play. Avni İlkcan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Akgün Özoğuz firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of akdağmadeni booed when Cayirli JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Emin Şakir didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 minutes, Hatemi Oran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cayirli JK and the akdağmadeni players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Cayirli JK got a freekick which was hit by Hatemi Oran. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arif Cengiz Şükür stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pál Papp in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akgün Özoğuz saved Cayirli JK from getting behind. Müjdat Acabey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akgün Özoğuz having to interfere. kaya Ünlem kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Akgün Özoğuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avni İlkcan in the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cayirli JK's kaya Ünlem got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Pál Papp managed to get in a good position for a shot. akdağmadeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Pál Papp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akgün Özoğuz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Nazmi Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
