When Şaban Dervişoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EreğliSpor's protests and gave Şaban Dervişoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bora Gümüş in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Özgün Baliç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Tymoteusz Zbytniewski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kadim Yenay. The goal made the score 1-0. Demirköy's Kadim Yenay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şaban Dervişoğlu in the 15th minute of play. Demirköy's Kadim Yenay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Demirköy from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Bora Gümüş in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Kadim Yenay successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Demirköy getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bahattin Özakan hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bora Gümüş to strike the kick off in the second half. EreğliSpor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Bora Gümüş scored to the left of an out of position Özgün Baliç, making the score, 3-1. In the 58th minute Tymoteusz Zbytniewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kadim Yenay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of EreğliSpor booed when Demirköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selmi Balım didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tymoteusz Zbytniewski in the 62nd minute of play forced Demirköy's goalkeeper Kadim Yenay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cüneyt Dilazad came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Demirköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cüneyt Dilazad couldn't finish the play. After 82 minutes of play, EreğliSpor's Tymoteusz Zbytniewski made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kadim Yenay was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Bora Gümüş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Demirköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Bora Gümüş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Özgün Baliç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Şaban Dervişoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Demirköy's goal looked a bit too open when Tymoteusz Zbytniewski came free, but Kadim Yenay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Kutalp Uçbeyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. EreğliSpor had won after a very even match.
