The throw-in from Kuddusî Batıkan in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Göztepe SK's Muzaffer Kutbay. 11 minutes into the match, Hugara Mugara Hu's goal looked a bit too open when Vahap Şahoğlu came free, but Kıraç Konguralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Vahap Şahoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hugara Mugara Hu's Kıraç Konguralp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Yüce Uluşahin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kağan Arabacı was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mustafa Turan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kıraç Konguralp having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Vahap Şahoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Göztepe SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vahap Şahoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vahap Şahoğlu in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kıraç Konguralp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kıraç Konguralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vahap Şahoğlu in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Vahap Şahoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hugara Mugara Hu's Kıraç Konguralp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Mustafa Turan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kıraç Konguralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hugara Mugara Hu's zone, Vahap Şahoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kıraç Konguralp came out of the goal and Vahap Şahoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Şenol İnegöllü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vahap Şahoğlu was the one to do the kick off. When Reha Tura fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Göztepe SK's protests and gave Reha Tura a yellow card for diving instead. Kağan Arabacı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yüce Uluşahin, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Mecnun Atatuğ ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kağan Arabacı was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 68th minute Vahap Şahoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kıraç Konguralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kıraç Konguralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vahap Şahoğlu in the 69th minute of the match. Kıraç Konguralp had great luck who in the 70thth minute grab hold of the ball when Vahap Şahoğlu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 76 played minutes Göztepe SK got a freekick which was hit by Reha Tura. If Vahap Şahoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Göztepe SK booed when Hugara Mugara Hu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yüce Uluşahin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vahap Şahoğlu had several of the Hugara Mugara Hu's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Kıraç Konguralp as he didn't even see the shot coming. Mustafa Turan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Kıraç Konguralp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
